India
I’m a 20-year-old Muslim girl from India, a developing country with a collectivist mindset.
I am from a minority background, which is often discriminated against because of preconceived notions.
Growing up, I always wondered why people behave irrationally with me, and that was because I was a young minority girl who used to voice her opinions and encourage individual freedom and support individualism, which in a collectivist society was frowned upon. I joined Students for Liberty at the age of 18 and eventually became the youngest Prometheus Fellow by getting selected as one of the top 50 global leaders in partnership with the Prometheus Foundation.
I’m also working as the youngest staffer with Liberty International. I believe everything I’ll learn from Project Arizona will help me encourage others to create a community of active-minded people and work at the grass-roots level.
“In my surroundings, objective logic and reasoned rationality are largely absent because of the pre-existing hold of blind religious faiths and the accompanying emotions, sentiments, and vanities.”
I have also been featured as a success story on Students for Liberty!
