Meet the Six Liberty Champions who were Awarded a Fully-Funded Scholarship for Project Arizona 2025

Czech Republic

Klara Sasinova

Klara is a student of Entrepreneurship and Business Development at the Brno University of Technology (VUT) , where she co-founded betoniq.cz, a sustainable brand of concrete decorations and furniture.

She has over three years of experience in HR and recruitment, having worked as a Senior IT Recruiter/HR Team Lead at and is currently at SFL as a European Programs Associate, where she focuses on people development and educational program methodology. Her tenure at SFL also includes roles as a National Coordinator/Team Lead, where she led a team of 30 volunteers and managed conferences, budgets, and recruitment processes. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, she has been involved in organizing an annual conference in Ukraine to demonstrate solidarity and support. These experiences motivate her to fight against emerging propaganda and to defend freedom and democracy in Czech Republic and across Europe.

India

Walter Sylesh

Walter Sylesh is a lawyer from India who aims to build a career in diplomacy and foreign affairs. As an avid reader and keen observer of international relations, he is curious about institutions and ideas across the globe that help defend liberty and promote human flourishing. An Objectivist at heart, he loves to explore the history of Western philosophy and its interplay with modern society . He has previously served as the Regional Coordinator for Academics & Research in South Asia Students for Liberty (2021-22) and was also one of the top performers in the Prometheus Fellowship Class of 2022.

Bolivia

María Sofía Suárez

María Sofía Suárez is a Bolivian law graduate that specializes in Business Law, with experience in public, private and third sector. She interned at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (OAS) and currently serves as Deputy Director of Urban Development at the Departmental Youth Council. She is part of Pulso Líder Urbano and works as Social Media Intern at Alumni for Liberty. She was awarded the Premio Joven and selected for Programa para el Fortalecimiento de la Función Pública en Latin America.

Argentina

Tomás Palicio

Tomás Palicio, born in Patagonia, Argentina, is an entrepreneur and a graduate of Tourism and Hotel Management. A passionate advocate of liberty since 2015, he has worked to defend transparent elections, foster debates on social media, and has deepened his studies in Austrian economics at the Friedman Hayek Center. After attending the Liberty International World Conference in Buenos Aires, he was selected for Project Arizona 2025 in Phoenix, where he aims to strengthen his leadership and become an ambassador for freedom in Argentina.

Uganda

John Mugabi

John Mugabi Socrates was born in Entebbe Uganda. He is an activist and advocate of freedom in Africa, who is a passionate advocate of free market and individual liberty in Uganda and Africa. He has worked with Action for Liberty and Economic Development to empower and educate and empower hundreds of students with liberty ideas . He has worked on various projects, defending property rights and economic rights in Uganda including Obwananyini kutaka and Taasa Omusubuzi.In 2025 he was selected as a fellow at Acton university in Michigan, USA.

Nicaragua

Jonathan Braudy Sánchez

Jonathan Braudy Sánchez is a freedom activist in America and a political exile who has documented civil and political rights violations of the Sandinista dictatorship for international organizations. A Nicaraguan economist specialized in public policy and planning, he has written for AMAGI, La Prensa, the Universidad Francisco Marroquín Blog, among others.

He is the Founder and Editorial Manager of Libertaspress.net, President of the Patriotas movement, and Former National Coordinator of Students For Liberty Nicaragua. He is also an FPP Chile alumnus
